Last night Trevor and I joined a number of Broadway performers to put on a benefit show for PS 166 - aka The Richard Rodgers School of the Arts & Technology.  It was a lot of fun and the kids really got into it.  Besides us BETM kids,  the guests included Bill Irwin, Karen Ziemba, Steven Bogardus, Jess Leprotto, Brynn Williams, Laura Marie Duncan , William Michals, Darrin Baker, Brian Childers, Louise Edeiken, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, Luka Kain, Jim Newman, Laurissa Romain and Marilyn Pasekoff.  David Chase accompanied Trevor and I - - no, we did NOT sing “Expressing Yourself”!   Trevor sang “Shy” from Once Upon a Mattress and I sang “Proud of Your Boy” from Aladdin uncut.  (The song never made it to the movie but it’s used in theater productions.)  As much as I loved all the great singing and dancing, I have to say my favorite part of the evening was the “baggy pants” comedy of Bill Irwin; HILARIOUS!!! I couldn’t get enough of that fake spaghetti…..maybe that’s why I had a bowl of (real) spaghetti when I got home last night??!
